Long Time, No Blogging!

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't written in forever. I've been really busy and not feeling the greatest.
My POTS has gotten very bad. Last week, I collapsed on the bathroom floor because my legs went limp. It was very scary. My mom wanted to take me to the emergency room, but I refused to go. Eventually with rest, I felt a little better. But today it is pretty bad again. I haven't collapsed..yet. I am seeing a new cardiologist tomorrow to evaluate my POTS and mitral valve prolapse. Hopefully he'll help me with managing the fainting.
I also started physical therapy about three weeks ago. Some of the exercises cause pain, but most of them are just very very hard. And I can see myself getting stronger. We have been having trouble with my knees while doing my exercises. They pop and click around. My therapist said it is called Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome. My knee caps are not in the right place so she tapes them before I exercise. They still pop around a little but we are looking into buying knee braces to help them.
We will also be starting aqua therapy once one of my incisions heals better. At my PT place they have something called an Endless Pool. You can swim in place because of the power of the jets. So it's really like you're swimming laps. And then we would do normal aqua therapy exercises.
We are really looking into getting a TENS unit for me. On www.edsers.com, we found an application to get a free TENS unit. So my mom and I are trying to get the insurance company to comply with this in case it falls through.
So basically that's it.. Today I have a stomach virus so I'm not doing too well. But other than that, I am getting stronger day by day.
I hope everyone feels good today and has minimal pain! Good day and god bless :)

  1. Salt is huge for me in order to stay on top of my syncopal episodes! I carry a bag of chips with me most of the time so I constantly have enough salt in my system! Hope you can figure out your main triggers!
